| Since our fur babies are special members of our family and due to the recent reports of problems with the pet food industry the Quincy Humane Society is offering the following recipes to our friends so your four legged friends will stay health and happy. These treats have been tried and tested and have been given a paw of approval by our two boys who are Shelter Alumni. |

1 quart vanilla yogurt
Puree the banana in a food processor. Add the peanut butter and honey and continue processing until smooth. Add yogurt and process just long enough to blend all ingredients together. Place 18 small paper cups (bathroom size) in a baking pan and fill paper cups to about 2/3 full. Freezes until solid then transfer to zip lock bags for storing in freezer. This is a great summertime treat and
best given outside as it gets messy when the pets eat it. Cats, as
well as dogs, love these treats.

2 6 oz. cans Tuna or 1 14 oz can Salmon
– do not drain
Process tuna, garlic and eggs in food processor or blender (or mix in bowl). Add flour and mix to a brownie like consistency. Spread into a 9 x 9 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. When the brownies are done, they will have a putty-like texture and the edges will pull away from the sides of the pan. Cut into squares and freeze. Don't ever bake as they will get very
hard as they cool.

until mixed well. Shape dough by rounded teaspoons into balls. Mix the
cornmeal and cinnamon together in a bowl and roll balls in mixture. Place

fork. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 400F. Cool on a rack. Store in airtight
container.

1 lb. beef liver
Puree liver in food processor or blender. Add to eggs, whole wheat flour and cornmeal. Grease cookie sheet and pour mixture onto cookie sheet. Be sure cookie sheet has at least a 1/2" lip all the way around. Bake in 350 oven for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly before cutting into desired sized squares. These freeze very well. Note: Although this is one of
Doogie's favorites, it is not one of the best smelling recipes to make.
But he's worth it.

This recipe makes a lot & it's so easy. You just throw everything into the bowl, mix & pat onto 2 greased cookie sheets, no rolling or cookie cutters. 12 c. oatmeal
Dump everything into a VERY large bowl. Mix this whole mess together (I use my hands, AFTER I take my rings off, another story), pat onto greased cookie sheets & bake at 325 for 1 hour. After 1 hour turn oven off, crack oven door & allow cookies to cool in oven. Cut into whatever size you want. These freeze really well. My guys love
these, they sit in front of the oven waiting.
