Throughout the year, the Quincy Humane Society holds several fundraisers. Our two largest are the Mutt Strut (Fall) and the Fur Ball (Spring). We also have several smaller events throughout the year.

These fundraisers are critical to our success in order to keep our shelter operating. Below you will find a list of all of our upcoming events. Please contact the shelter if you have questions, would like to attend, or volunteer.

Mutt Strut

The Fabulous Fur Ball

Annual Holiday Breakout

Every year we send our shelter dogs into foster homes from December 24th-26th, so they can enjoy the holidays just like us! We provide everything the foster will need – food, bowls, toys, crates, etc. – you provide the holiday cheer! To take part in our Annual Holiday Breakout, please fill out our Foster Sleepover Application.

You must live in Adams County and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations.

Summer Camps

Each summer, the Quincy Humane Society hosts Critter Camp and Leaders in Training Camp. Our summer camps are designed to give young people educational hands-on experience with our shelter animals. Critter Camp is for children entering 2nd through 5th grades and focuses on learning about a variety of pets and teaches children responsibility and compassion for animals. Leaders in Training Camp is for children entering 6th through 8th grade and focuses on careers with animals, as well as, how they can make an impact in animal welfare.  Each day of camp is filled with animal interactions, exciting guest speakers, daily activities, games, crafts, snacks, and more!
