The Quincy Humane Society is a member of the National Spay / Neuter Response Team. We operate a high volume, high quality program based upon the Humane Alliance model. Our staff has received extensive training in the surgical technique and protocols used. A licensed veterinarian provides all services.
Our Spay/Neuter clinic is held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Quincy Humane Society, 1705 North 36th Street, Quincy, IL 62305. We are unable to accept walk-ins! Appointments are required. Please call 217-223-8786 to make an appointment.

If your animal is not picked up by 6:30AM, there is a $20/hour per animal boarding fee that will be automatically charged and must be paid upon pick-up.
If your animal is younger than 4 months, they may eat breakfast before surgery if they so desire. Animals older than 4 months can only have a very light breakfast the morning of surgery. Please discontinue feeding after 10:00pm the previous evening. They can have water up to the time of surgery.
Cats must arrive in carriers. If you do not have a carrier, you may borrow one from the Quincy Humane Society. Dogs may be brought in on a leash.

Testimonials:
“I just want to thank the staff at the Quincy Humane Society for the amazing help and support I received in capturing my six feral barn cats and getting them spayed and neutered! I couldn’t have achieved this difficult goal without them! I am extremely impressed with the high standards and level of professionalism I experienced. All of our cats are doing fantastic. It is such a joy to watch the kittens playing on our porch each night and knowing that they won’t be multiplying beyond that! I have recommended you to numerous others about the program and give the full 5 stars!” – Shannon of Iowa
“I brought my dog in a few weeks ago to get spayed, her shots and microchipped. While she was there they pulled nine of her teeth and it has made a world of difference in the way she is now. She is so happy and loving. I had no idea that her teeth were hurting her the way that they were. I thank them all so very much for all they have done!” – Quincy, Illinois
“I just wanted to thank everyone from the Quincy Humane Society. Thanks to their low cost clinic, I have been able to get over 10 feral cats fixed in my neighborhood. Thanks to them, they now have a chance for a better life! It has taken me a while but the last 2 kittens were officially fixed!” – Nicole of Iowa
